The US tour resumes in March 1978 - reportedly 18 dates though some may be missing. There is a conspicuous gap between April 9 and 18. No support was advertised. It is quite probable that Jim Gordon is now on drums. He is reported to have been recruited for "the spring" leg of the tour. As he is also drumming at the Columbia show in August, and Charlotte in September, it is assumed that he saw the tour through to the end of the year.

Whether the following represents a "fourth leg" of the tour that started in August 1977 or has an identity of its own is debatable. Nevertheless a further series of shows was undertaken. There appear to be gaps here and a full itinerary is currently unavailable. Some shows - eg Chicago - appear to have been announced locally as opposed to nationally. The show in Santa Barbara remains a mystery and may have taken place much earlier - possibly as a warm-up.
